Didn't this place close last month? My wife and I went there on the day that was claimed to be their last day of business. In any case, the pizza we ordered was terrific, so their closing is a real loss for the Montrose!

On the day we visited, they had a Burrata special which I jumped on. The burrata was so fresh and it was accompanied by a chili oil and fried garlic. The bread that accompanied the dish was perfect and not hard where it ripped up my mouth. The Tuna on Toast is a must try. Think avocado toast but instead served with tuna. It was topped with nori and some pistachio. I could've had two. Next I fried the snapper crudo dish which was served with pickled mango, chilies and lime. I skipped on the olives. Absolutely immaculate. The mushroom pizza was underwhelming. The best part was the crust of the pizza. The shiitake mushrooms, scamorza cheese and rosemary just didn't do it for me. Ate it all don't get me wrong. We don't waste food here.

Amazing vibes and amazing food! Elro is a hidden gem in Houston, offering a unique combination of pizza and crudo and oysters that works surprisingly well. The menu, though small, is thoughtfully curated, with wood-fired pizzas that have a perfectly crisp, charred crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. The seafood makes a great pairing with the pizza. What really makes Elro stand out is its artistically designed and cozy, homey interior along with the charming neighborhood vibes. The outdoor patio is a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal, especially on a nice day. The atmosphere is laid-back, the service is friendly, and the whole place feels welcoming. It's a great spot for a casual dinner or a chill date night. LOVE this spot! Note that it only seems to be street parking

Fun, casual pizza spot. I recommend getting a few pies and sharing. The mortadella one was the best, followed by the regular mozzarella, followed by tomato. The arancini were good too. Service is fast and friendly, and the vibe is great. Only thing is everything comes out as it's made so pizza was served before apps. Overall I really liked this spot and you can tell the food is quality.

We had a reservation after work one evening and several members were running a bit late, staff was so friendly and didn't rush for us to order or make a fuss about our whole party not arriving on time. Instead, they were accommodating, checked in when they needed to, and made it a very pleasant and welcoming experience. Kudos! Elro Pizza and Crudo is located in a little neighborhood in Montrose. A small house converted into a restaurant. At first thought, you're thinking pizza and Crudo?! That doesn't go well together!! Well whatever you previously thought, erase it! In fact, do more than erase it, come try it for yourself! Each dish not only compliments each other but the flavor combinations were spectacular! I enjoyed everything we ordered, enough so that we ordered a second round of all the crudos cause they were that amazing! That and we were a party of 6, so things disappeared quite quickly. Snapper Crudo - loved the flavors! It was one of the favorites of the night! 5/5 Mushroom Pizzza came in a close second! Smoky mushrooms, melty cheese and a perfect Neapolitan crust. 5/5 Pacific Striped Bass Crudo - coconut milk goodness! Chopped pieces of fish, I prefer the larger cuts but this one works for what it was. 4/5 Chorizo Pizza - we have a friend who is currently dairy intolerant so we requested this pizza without cheese along with the Sausage Pizza and they both had such amazing depth of flavors in the tomato sauce and toppings alone, they were both equally as delicious without cheese. 5/5 My least favorite pie of the night was the Guanciale, only because I didn't taste the bold flavors like I did the other dishes we ordered that night. 2/5 Vegan Caesar Salad was delish. Fresh crispy romaine is always important and you probably wouldn't even realize it was vegan! 4/5 Spicy cucumbers were delicious. Olives were a great unexpected addition. 4/5 Maraschino cherry soft serve with a magic chocolate shell.. good but wish there was more magic shell, some chunks of maraschino cherries and more of the cherry flavor in the soft serve. 4/5 Tita-Miso - their take on a tiramisu. I found it a bit soft, not enough espresso flavors and the lady fingers weee finely crunched up on top. 2/5 Lastly the Panna Cotta, it was very mild flavors and honestly was a bit loose and not as set as I would like a Panna cotta to be. 2/5 Overall, fantastic atmosphere. There's mostly a good size deck with picnic tables and smaller tables. The inside is very small but decorated nicely, wallpaper was a bit whimsical! Service was wonderful. There's some cool color changing lights outside at night. Come prepared with mosquito spray cause I got eaten alive! Pizza and crudo were fantastic and I've been trying to go back since we left! In a neighborhood but there's a parking lot kitty corner to the restaurant, which makes a potentially difficult parking situation easy! 110% would be back very very soon! Loved it!

Why 5 stars? Because we loved everything about the experience. --- --- --- We have been on a little bit of a pizza kick when we venture into the city lately and have had some really good experiences. Elro was no exception. First off, the vibe and decor here is top notch. I want to hire the person who did this to come to my house and mirror everything. But more importantly, I need the chef to come live at my house and prepare all of my meals. That's a service Elro offers, right? We started off with the Sourdough Bruschetta with Prosciutto. I really enjoyed it, but there was a subtle hint of lemon involved and I think it would have been perfection without that. 4.5 stars. The wife really wanted to try the Arancini. It's not something I'm ever dying to order, but I thought it was pretty great, despite not being a big fan of the dish overall. 4 stars. The Mushroom Pizza was a delight. It's very heavy on the mushroom flavor, which we were down for. Regardless of which pizza you order, the dough is what separates Elro from the rest. It's somehow crispy on the outside but smooth like butter on the inside. Some of the best pizza dough that I've ever had, honestly. 5 stars. We ordered the Mozzarella Pizza for our son, but also so that we could have a second pizza to share amongst ourselves too. I went back and forth several times on if I liked the mushroom or the mozzarella better. Ultimately, they were an ideal pairing to alternate slices with. Again, the dough is from the God's. 5 stars. We finished with the Tiramisu, which was definitely the most unique version of this dish that I have ever seen. Honestly, it hardly had any resemblance to actual tiramisu, but the bottom line is that it we really enjoyed it. 4.5 stars. We have great food, friendly service and loved the vibe of this place. Home run all around!

First impression: parking is weird because we didn't realize there was a lot across the street so we parked in the street. Cute interior but a little warm so we opted to sit outside since it was nice out Asked our server what she recommended, she did not disappoint on the pizza rec. We got the tomato pizza and omg it was so good!! Not heavy and the tomato basically melts in your mouth. The calabrian chilies gave a lil kick. The crust has flaky salt in it and its a game changer! We also got the red snapper crudo and it was delightfully fresh. The spicy cucumber was also great as well. The fried shallots and peanuts were an extra crunch. We thought it all would be too much for two people but it was just enough. We thought we could handle dessert so we ordered the tira-miso. The first bite was such a different expectation, a little salty but the whipped mascarpone was light. As you dig in more, you hit vanilla ice cream and a couple lady fingers. We kinda wished there was more ice cream and less mascarpone but it was solid. We'll definitely be coming again to try the other pizzas.

My friend's had been on a sardine kick and also not eating red meat. I saw they had an app with fishies, I'm sorry - bouquerones, and suggested we come here. The chef from former Pass and Provisions runs this spot and I had read articles pre-opening hyping Elro up so I was excited. This was back in August so patio was still HOT, but such good vibes. We didn't have a rez + it was so busy for lunch, we were able to snag a cozy corner table and had a great waitress. We shared a bunch of stuff and had no complaints. Get the soft serve Nothing about this meal has made me crave it or wanna come back necessarily, but this review reminds me I should go back for a round #2

Pretty good new pizza place with inviting patio. I was here recently with a group of 4 and we had spicy cucumbers, bruschetta, tuna on bread, and two pizzas (tomato and sausage). The spicy cucumbers were really good and the tuna bread dish was a big hit with our group as well even though I didn't taste it. I would skip on the bruschetta. It was very bland. The two pizzas we had were both very good especially the sausage one.
